This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize your expertise in private passenger automobiles, contract interpretation, multi-state tort law, civil procedure, and litigation matters.
• Conduct research, draft, and convey insurance coverage opinions.
• Collaborate with claims management, corporate legal, and regulatory professionals regarding claims-related issues.
• Assist claims management by researching and analyzing multi-state tort and insurance coverage laws.
• Develop operational policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Deliver in-person training sessions to adjuster teams and/or management on legal subjects.
• Create form letters and releases.
• Report to a Managing Attorney, who in turn reports to the Chief Claims Officer.
• Juris Doctor degree with a valid license to practice law.
• Over 5 years of pertinent experience.
• First-chair (jury trial) insurance defense litigation experience.
• Technical knowledge of property/casualty insurance principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and critical thinking abilities.
• Comfortable with risk analysis, adaptable, and capable of making concise decisions.
• Proven ability to foster collaborative working relationships.
• Must be prepared to appear on camera for virtual interviews.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States, as this position is remote within the US.
• Eligible for STI & LTI.
