Legal Counsel – Client Contracting Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Negotiate pharmacy benefit contracts with employer plan sponsor clients.

• Assist sales teams with new business initiatives.

• Offer guidance to business colleagues on everyday matters.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Legal department.

• Partner with government affairs, regulatory affairs, client audit, and underwriting teams.

• Engage with PBM clients, benefit consultants, and attorneys.

⛳️ Requirements

• Actively practicing attorney with over 5 years of proven experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment.

• Background in healthcare or other regulatory issues.

• Proficient in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and/or interacting with government regulators or agencies regarding healthcare matters.

• Licensed to practice law in at least one state and in good standing.

• Willingness to travel up to 5% (including by air).

• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare laws and regulations.

• Experience within a PBM or health plan/insurer setting.

• Familiarity with litigation or dispute resolution processes.

• Experience in managing and/or collaborating with external counsel.

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Juris Doctor (JD) is required.
