Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead negotiations for contracts with suppliers and B2B clients.

• Assist in managing tenders and procurement processes.

• Provide legal guidance to the business and the broader compliance team.

• Draft, review, and negotiate supplier and customer contracts across various jurisdictions, primarily in regulated US gambling.

• Support the licensing team with applications and due diligence for global regulators.

• Aid in significant regulatory communications.

• Advise the business on legal risks related to commercial matters and strategic decisions, including corporate and intellectual property issues.

• Assist the compliance and anti-money laundering teams with regulations and complex customer cases.

• Provide occasional support in disputes and litigation.

• Handle legal aspects of commercial tenders.

• Collaborate closely with C-Suite executives, Compliance, Delivery, Licensing, and Finance stakeholders.

• Perform other related responsibilities as reasonably required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A qualified solicitor/attorney in the UK or US.

• 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

• Demonstrated success in high-value commercial negotiations.

• Exceptional drafting skills.

• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a broad global scope.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of tailoring legal advice for diverse audiences, from sales teams to C-Suite executives to developers.

• A pragmatic approach to legal advice, harmonizing legal considerations with business operations and delivering relevant, constructive solutions.

• Experience in online gambling or similar regulated sectors is preferred.

• Licensing experience.

• Familiarity with working alongside external counsel and regulatory authorities.
