Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Act as the main legal contact for Sales, Sales Operations (ADV), Product, and IT teams.

• Address customer inquiries and requests pertaining to data protection, artificial intelligence, and compliance.

• Assist teams in comprehending and implementing legal requirements and associated risks.

• Negotiate and draft standard commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts, NDAs, supplier agreements, and partnership contracts.

• Continuously enhance contract templates.

• Safeguard the company’s commitments in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

• Aid in maintaining GDPR compliance and the regulatory framework for AI.

• Engage in revising internal policies, documentation, and audits.

• Perform legal analyses of regulatory changes.

• Keep active legal monitoring.

• Organize and centralize legal documentation.

• Enhance the accessibility of legal resources for internal teams.

• Streamline legal processes and tools.

• Educate and raise awareness among teams regarding GDPR, AI, and contract matters.

• Advocate for best practices in a clear and user-friendly manner.

• Collaborate closely with Sales and Product teams.

• Report to the Senior Counsel while maintaining direct connections with management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Law (Master II or equivalent), preferably in Digital Law / ICT or a similar field.

• Minimum of 1 year of in-house experience, ideally within a SaaS or tech environment.

• Strong understanding of the GDPR.

• Genuine interest in topics related to the AI Act.

• Solid skills in contract law.

• Proficient in English (C1 level) is required.

• Capable of drafting and negotiating in English.

• Demonstrates rigor and autonomy.

• Possesses a service-oriented mindset.

• Ability to clarify legal matters to non-legal teams.
