Legal Content Development Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee a collection of specified publications that are accessible both online and in print.

• Collaborate with authors and follow up to ensure the timely submission of manuscripts in line with the publishing timeline.

• Evaluate manuscripts for compliance with author guidelines and offer constructive feedback.

• Attract new authors and coordinate author substitutions for the publications within the portfolio.

• Build and sustain relationships with practitioners, academics, judiciary members, librarians, and other partners in the legal community.

• Serve as a resource for authors and internal teams concerning portfolio publications.

• Create and oversee legal publications that support legal professionals throughout Canada.

⛳️ Requirements

• A law degree from Canada or a law degree from another jurisdiction accompanied by a Certificate of Qualification from Canada’s National Committee on Accreditation.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in legal practice/articling or legal publishing.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and a strong attention to detail.

• Capability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines for print, online, and newsletter releases.

• Strong skills in relationship-building and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-departmental project teams.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with negotiation capabilities.

• Practical experience with LLMs and AI-enabled tools utilized daily for content creation and analysis.

• Experience with refining prompts to enhance output quality and consistency.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and the Microsoft Office suite.
