This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Update internal Firm systems and external client systems within expected timeframes.
• Organize legal documentation by sorting, scanning, categorizing, labeling, and digitally filing.
• Complete tasks in the assigned work queue within specified deadlines.
• Understand and retain fundamental legal concepts and terminology to produce precise work products.
• Assist in the preparation of necessary materials for court appearances.
• Review incoming documents and distribute them to the relevant parties.
• Communicate in a professional and timely manner via phone, email, and internal/external messaging systems.
• Complete all mandatory training in the Firm's Learning Management System (LMS).
• Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, client requirements, court rules, and best practices.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality legal support to financial institutions in creditor-rights matters.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in a data entry or legal assistant position.
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
• Familiarity with technology-driven workplaces.
• US citizenship or permanent residency along with legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Proficient in accurate data entry.
• Strong capability to follow basic instructions, job aids, and procedures.
• Ability to comply with Firm policies and apply requirements while processing assigned tasks.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional, responsive, and timely service.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, with strong computer literacy.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Capability to maintain focus for long durations.
• Proficiency in working on computers for a substantial part of the day.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements such as typing, clicking, and swiveling.
• Capability to lift 10-20 pounds as necessary.
