This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras, +6 more countries.
β’ Engage professionally, compassionately, and respectfully with potential clients.
β’ Accurately document intake information and keep records organized.
β’ Conduct thorough intake discussions and collect pertinent information.
β’ Assist in the preparation, editing, formatting, and manipulation of documents.
β’ Acquire knowledge of business software and document management systems.
β’ Ensure accuracy and confidentiality when managing client and case details.
β’ Provide assistance to attorneys and the legal team with various legal projects.
β’ Offer general legal and administrative support as needed.
β’ Organize and preserve case-related information and documentation.
β’ Identify issues that may require further attorney examination.
β’ Pose follow-up questions to uncover important facts and details.
β’ Conduct approximately 5 to 15 initial intake calls daily, typically lasting 20 to 30 minutes.
β’ Draft concise legal memos, summaries, and other written documentation.
β’ Return calls and follow up with prospective clients.
β’ Create a positive first impression and ensure prospective clients feel acknowledged and supported.
β’ Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
β’ Excellent spoken and written English skills are essential.
β’ Prior experience in a legal, professional services, client intake, case management, or similar field is preferred.
β’ Experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, Legal Intake, or in Case Management is favored.
β’ Knowledge of civil litigation or federal civil rights matters is advantageous.
β’ Traditional paralegal experience is not a prerequisite.
β’ Ability to effectively shift between client-facing intake responsibilities and legal support tasks.
β’ Comfort in handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
β’ Capability to communicate with prospective clients who may have faced significant loss or challenging situations.
β’ Strong overall technology skills and the ability to learn new systems independently are required.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, RingCentral, Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe, Adobe Acrobat, and business/document management systems.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English.
β’ Fluency in Spanish is necessary.
β’ Strong skills in active listening, questioning, critical thinking, information gathering, organization, and time management.
β’ Capacity to understand, organize, and accurately document complex information.
β’ Ability to create concise summaries and legal memos.
β’ Capability to work independently and take initiative.
β’ Ability to maintain accuracy while managing a high volume of daily interactions.
β’ Flexibility and eagerness to learn new processes, systems, and legal support responsibilities.
