This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.
• Provide assistance to attorneys, case managers, and paralegals with legal research, document preparation, medical inquiries, medical record management, and overall case management support.
• Organize, manage, and maintain both incoming and existing legal documents, case files, and correspondence.
• Conduct client intake calls, collect pertinent information, and accurately record case details.
• Perform factual investigations and gather relevant information to aid in the advancement of cases toward resolution.
• Facilitate communication among clients, attorneys, medical providers, court personnel, and other essential parties.
• Keep attorney and case calendars updated, including appointments, meetings, hearings, deadlines, and other significant case dates.
• Schedule appointments and follow up on pending tasks, requests, and deadlines.
• Assist in obtaining, organizing, and following up on medical records, bills, and other documentation related to cases.
• Conduct data entry to ensure case information is accurate and up to date in internal systems.
• Provide phone support and respond to inquiries from clients or third parties in a professional and timely manner.
• Organize both electronic and physical files according to established procedures.
• Monitor pending items and follow up with relevant parties to ensure cases progress efficiently.
• Uphold confidentiality while handling client information, legal documents, medical details, and other sensitive case materials.
• Carry out additional administrative and case support tasks as assigned.
• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Case Assistant, or in a comparable legal support position.
• Prior experience working in a law firm or legal environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of legal documents, case files, legal terminology, and fundamental legal processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capability to manage multiple cases, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Background in supporting Personal Injury (PI) cases or other civil litigation matters.
• Experience dealing with medical records, medical bills, provider communications, or treatment-related documentation.
