Lecturer – Compliance and Risk Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality, outcome-driven educational content that aligns with module objectives.

• Lead engaging and interactive online learning sessions.

• Design and implement assessments that encourage applied learning, critical thinking, and sound professional judgment.

• Evaluate student performance through formative, summative, and practical assessments.

• Conduct internal moderation and contribute to the quality assurance of teaching materials and assessments.

• Oversee the development and review of learning materials for assigned modules.

• Assist students with academic and content-related inquiries.

• Ensure that assessment processes, marking, and results adhere to necessary academic standards.

• Recruit, support, and manage part-time academic personnel as needed, including lecturers, markers, examiners, moderators, and authors.

• Partner with industry professionals to ensure the curriculum remains relevant to current compliance and risk management practices.

• Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes, emerging risks, and developments in the compliance and risk management field.

• Work closely with academic and administrative teams to enhance student engagement and success.

⛳️ Requirements

• A relevant master’s degree in Compliance, Risk Management, Governance, Business, Law, or a closely related discipline.

• Relevant professional or industry experience in compliance, governance, regulatory risk, or risk management.

• Strong knowledge of contemporary compliance and risk management principles and practices.

• Familiarity with online learning technologies and platforms.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

• A learner-centric mindset with a dedication to academic integrity and student success.

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.

• Sound professional and ethical judgment.
