This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and oversee scalable leave processes along with compliance controls.
• Oversee the daily operations of internal leave analysts and third-party administrators.
• Assess vendor performance, data integrity, and service delivery.
• Manage the complete process for medical, family, military, and personal leave.
• Ensure adherence to FMLA, ADA, ADAAA, PWFA, USERRA, Workers’ Compensation, state leave laws, and other relevant regulations.
• Act as the subject matter expert on complex regulatory issues and reasonable accommodations.
• Provide guidance to HR and leadership teams on intricate cases and legal compliance matters.
• Review and revise leave and accommodation policies as needed.
• Conduct audits and suggest process enhancements.
• Create and implement enterprise training programs.
• Collaborate with payroll, benefits, legal, Employee Relations, Safety, Occupational Health, and HRIS teams.
• Communicate with managers and HR partners regarding pending leaves, return-to-work dates, extensions, and modifications.
• Utilize reporting and analytics to track leave trends, identify risks, propose policy enhancements, control costs, and sustain organizational effectiveness.
• Enhance data tracking and reporting via HRIS and leave management systems.
• Provide regular reports and analytics to senior leadership.
• Cultivate relationships with leave, disability, workers' compensation, and accommodation vendors.
• Discover opportunities to cut costs and enhance program effectiveness.
• Resolve complex issues across various cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related fields.
• 10 years of experience, including 7+ years in HR operations, benefits, or leave administration.
• Proven leadership and multi-state compliance experience.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state disability and leave laws (FMLA, ADA, PWFA, etc.).
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Capability to train management on absence management policies.
• Proficiency in HR management platforms (e.g., Workday) and leave case management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in assessing and recommending improvements to leave, disability, accommodation, and return-to-work programs.
• Exceptional case management and follow-through abilities.
• Experience leading process enhancement initiatives.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
• Capacity to establish and enhance standardized leave and accommodation processes.
