Lead Web Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee web design for significant client projects from the initial idea to the final launch.

• Establish brand behavior online through the use of typography, color, layout, and motion.

• Create websites for clients, including homepages, product pages, pricing pages, and landing pages.

• Direct the art for photography, illustrations, and 3D assets as required.

• Showcase design work and its rationale to clients, making revisions based on their feedback.

• Evaluate and enhance the web designs produced by other designers.

• Collaborate with developers to ensure the launched site aligns with the design.

• Partner with product designers to create a unified experience across site and product.

• Influence the development of Parallel's web design practice as it expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in designing websites at a studio, agency, or within a software company.

• Proven experience in leading web projects, guiding other designers or having them report to you.

• Outstanding craftsmanship with a keen eye for typography.

• Strong understanding of brand systems.

• Skills in motion and interaction design, including scroll behavior, transitions, and page animations.

• Familiarity with After Effects, Lottie, Rive, or Framer's motion tools.

• Proficient in Figma.

• Adequate knowledge of Framer or Webflow to comprehend what can be achieved post-site development.

• Comfortable presenting to founders and justifying crucial design choices.

• Mindful application of AI in the design workflow.

• Experience in brand identity work beyond merely applying another's identity (preferred).

• Sufficient front-end knowledge to communicate effectively with developers (preferred).
