This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Create and implement tailored test automation frameworks for functional, performance, and security assessments.
• Develop reusable libraries, plugins, and command-line interface (CLI) tools for executing tests, reporting results, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
• Construct scalable test harnesses for distributed systems, microservices, mobile native applications, and cloud SaaS solutions.
• Write maintainable code in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript to automate testing workflows.
• Integrate tools with Git, Jenkins, Harness, and artifact repositories.
• Containerize tools using Docker and manage test environments with Kubernetes.
• Incorporate observability into testing tools utilizing New Relic, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering (QE), Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)/DevOps, and development teams to pinpoint testing challenges and deliver effective tooling solutions.
• Provide governance, documentation, training, and support for the adoption and extension of testing tools.
• Assess and adopt new and emerging testing technologies.
• Contribute to the establishment of internal best practices for test automation, tool development, and quality engineering.
• Over 12 years of experience in Quality Engineering and tools development or a similar capacity.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
• Strong programming capabilities in Java, particularly in tooling and automation.
• Proficient in extending and customizing open-source testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Postman/Bruno, REST Assured, Karate, JMeter, K6, Gatling, Locust, OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Nessus.
• Experience integrating testing tools with platforms like Jira, Qmetry, ReportPortal, Allure, ExtentReports, Grafana, Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube, BrowserStack, and LambdaTest.
• Familiarity with test data management, mocking frameworks, and service virtualization tools such as WireMock, Hoverfly, or Mockito.
• Strong knowledge of relational SQL and non-relational NoSQL databases.
• Experience with publish-subscribe messaging systems such as Kafka.
• A solid understanding of RESTful APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, and event-driven or asynchronous architectures.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Expertise in Kubernetes for orchestrating containers.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix-based systems, shell scripting, and system-level debugging.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
• Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and debugging complex systems.
• Excellent skills in communication and collaboration.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-based test generation or impact analysis.
• Background in developer experience (DevEx) or internal platform engineering.
