Lead Tenable Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Construct, enhance, modernize, and oversee the implementation of a new Tenable architecture for the Department of the Air Force.

• Collaborate with the Modernization Team, ACAS Solution Architect, Chief Architect, and Chief Engineer to create the ACAS Solution.

• Report directly to the ACAS Project Manager.

• Lead and collaborate with technical engineers on the modernization team to propel modernization design, build, test, and deployment tasks forward.

• Develop, refine, and sustain the Tenable Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).

• Assist in the creation of the Project Integrated Master Schedule alongside the ACAS Engineering Lead.

• Identify opportunities for technical continuous improvement and enhance project execution efficiencies.

• Formulate and enact enhancements to current processes and practices.

• Conduct investigations to ascertain the root cause of technical challenges.

• Create topology and flow diagrams in collaboration with technical staff.

• Develop and present solution materials to internal program and Engineering teams.

• Design automation scripts and optimize code efficiency.

• Manage and uphold an Enterprise Red Hat Linux Operating Infrastructure integrated with RHEL Satellite and RHEL Ansible.

• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes containers within Azure and VMware Hypervisors.

• Successfully pass all Department of the Air Force internal Gate Reviews without any rejections.

• White-board the solution ad hoc with the project team without referring to existing solution materials.

• Implement identified process improvements on a quarterly basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

• 15+ years of pertinent experience; a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field may substitute for 5 years of experience.

• 10+ years of experience with ACAS Solutions; Tenable preferred, with at least 7 years of direct experience.

• 5+ years of experience in deploying, automating, and hardening Red Hat Linux operating systems.

• 3+ years of experience with DevOps tools and automation.

• 2+ years of experience in implementing enterprise applications in Kubernetes and establishing Kubernetes in an enterprise setting.

• 1+ years of experience supporting the Department of Defense.

• Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to internal project team members and DAF stakeholders.

• One of the following certifications: CISSP or an equivalent DoD 8140 Certification Compliance as a Tenable Solution Architect.

• Up to 10% travel may be required.
