Lead Technical Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Deliver advanced diagnostics for GE Vernova control systems, including MKVIe, EX2100e/EX2100, and LS2100e/LS2100, through secure remote connectivity.

• Utilize the Remote Service Gateway to evaluate live HMI data and address high-complexity issues for RDS and TSA contracts.

• Act as a trusted technical liaison for global clients and regional teams.

• Provide clear operational direction during critical, high-urgency situations.

• Manage individual case metrics and KPIs in accordance with global 24/7 responsiveness standards.

• Create and enhance technical documentation and Work Instructions.

• Recognize and implement Lean improvements to boost remote resolution speed.

• Promote knowledge sharing and offer peer-to-peer coaching.

• Function as a technical bridge between RDS and M&D, Engineering, and Commercial departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in power generation control systems.

• Practical experience with GE Vernova MKVIe Controls, EX2100e/EX2100 excitation systems, and LS2100e/LS2100 static starter systems.

• Proven track record in troubleshooting complex control system issues in remote support settings.

• Willingness to participate in a global coverage rotation to support 24/7 service delivery obligations.

• Background in heavy-duty gas and steam operations, HMI, networking, and generator protection.

• Expertise with diagnostic tools and secure remote connectivity, including RSG.

• Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and implement technical Work Instructions or diagnostic enhancements.

• Experience within a global matrix organization.

• Familiar with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and TCP/IP.

• Understanding of cybersecurity standards.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
