Lead Technical Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Provide expert diagnostics for GE Vernova control systems through secure remote access.

• Utilize the Remote Service Gateway to assess live HMI data and address complex issues for RDS and TSA contracts.

• Act as a reliable technical liaison for global clients and regional teams.

• Offer clear operational direction during critical situations.

• Manage individual case metrics and KPIs in accordance with global 24/7 responsiveness standards.

• Take ownership of and enhance technical documentation and Work Instructions.

• Recognize and implement Lean improvements to boost remote resolution speed.

• Promote knowledge sharing and provide peer coaching.

• Function as a technical link between Remote Diagnostic Services and M&D, Engineering, and Commercial divisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in power generation control systems.

• Practical experience with GE Vernova MKVIe Controls, EX2100e/EX2100 excitation systems, and LS2100e/LS2100 static starter systems.

• Proven track record of troubleshooting intricate control system issues in remote support settings.

• Willingness to participate in a global coverage rotation supporting 24/7 service delivery.

• Background in heavy-duty gas and steam operations, HMI, networking, and generator protection.

• Expertise with diagnostic tools and secure remote communication, such as RSG.

• Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and implement technical Work Instructions or diagnostic enhancements.

• Experience working in a global matrix organization.

• Familiarity with Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP, and cybersecurity standards.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screen, if applicable.
