This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the execution of mechanical tasks on-site for Steam Turbine, Generator, and Valve maintenance and outage activities, adhering to safety protocols while ensuring high quality and timely completion.
β’ Take ownership of field execution at the site, guaranteeing that work is conducted safely, efficiently, and meets quality standards.
β’ Collaborate with other Technical Field Advisors (TFAs), contractors, and customer personnel during intricate outages.
β’ Analyze drawings, P&IDs, schematics, procedures, and technical documentation to facilitate field operations.
β’ Lead the processes of disassembly, inspection, reassembly, alignment, and troubleshooting of turbine and generator components.
β’ Assist in outage planning, track execution, resolve issues, and manage post-outage closeout activities.
β’ Provide mentorship and support to fellow field team members as required.
β’ Cultivate strong customer relationships through effective communication and dependable execution.
β’ Offer technical leadership and act as the primary technical contact on-site for Steam Turbine and Generator mechanical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and outage operations at utility and industrial power plants.
β’ Direct complex job execution, coordinate field resources, and ensure safe, high-quality, and timely outcomes that align with GE standards and customer expectations.
β’ Address technical challenges on-site and contribute to customer satisfaction and business success.
β’ A technical or university degree, or equivalent relevant experience; or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years in Field Services.
β’ At least 8 years of accumulated experience in power plant settings (Utility, industrial, or Oil & Gas) or in turbine generator maintenance or power plant equipment installation.
β’ Capability to independently lead site execution and manage complex outage scopes.
β’ Practical experience with dismantling, inspecting, reassembling, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
β’ Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and OEM documentation.
β’ Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Strong skills in documentation and reporting.
β’ Proficiency in English is required.
β’ Training in GE or Alstom technologies is preferred.
β’ Completion of Generator/Steam Turbine Technical Field Advisor (TFA) training or equivalent is preferred.
β’ Experience on GE or Alstom generator equipment is preferred.
β’ Knowledge and experience in managing outages within a competency and possibly a secondary competency.
β’ Skills in mentoring and leading a team.
β’ Ability to manage customer relationships regarding technical and contractual matters.
β’ Strong organizational, project management, oral/written communication, and interpersonal/leadership skills.
