Lead, Supply Chain Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary interface for Supply Chain/Material Management for designated programs.

• Collaborate with Program Management and various cross-functional teams to fulfill program material needs.

• Take ownership of and oversee the overall material status, which includes on-hand materials, purchase orders, requisitions, unplaced demand, shortages, quality/inspection issues, supplier recovery actions, and future material requirements.

• Direct material readiness and Line of Balance operations to evaluate support for production and delivery schedules.

• Recognize material risks, opportunities, and constraints while leading root-cause analysis, program impact assessments, mitigation/recovery strategies, and setting deadlines.

• Manage monthly material forecasting, accounting for cost and schedule drivers, risks and opportunities, variance analysis, and necessary corrective measures.

• Assist with Estimates at Completion, material budgets, forecast-to-go activities, variance analysis, and long-range material planning.

• Aid in the development and production proposals by providing material estimates, supplier strategies, schedule needs, risks and opportunities, and cost-effectiveness initiatives.

• Offer guidance to other Material Program Managers (MPMs) and spearhead complex material initiatives.

• Report to the MPM Manager and may serve as the lead MPM for a significant program, product line, or complex project portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree along with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.

• A Graduate Degree accompanied by at least 7 years of related experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

• Proven experience in Supply Chain, Material Management, Program Management, Procurement, Planning, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field.

• Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), production planning, procurement, inventory management, and supplier management.

• Familiarity with material forecasting, Estimates at Completion (EACs), financial planning, variance analysis, and risk and opportunity management.

• Experience in developing or using Line of Balance, material readiness, shortage management, or similar tools.

• Understanding of the lifecycles of development and production programs.

• Working knowledge of project and program management principles, including program planning, Integrated Master Scheduling, budgeting, and Earned Value Management.

• Experience in supporting government or defense programs and familiarity with the defense acquisition environment.

• Proven leadership abilities, initiative, attention to detail, accountability, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
