Lead Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for guaranteeing that every element within the supply chain is delivered with quality and on schedule.

• Apply statistical process control techniques for critical component manufacturing and ensure suppliers incorporate these into their process control plans.

• Conduct rapid sprint analyses in collaboration with design engineers following supplier production or outgoing quality control failures.

• Facilitate shipment releases through risk-mitigating actions and maintain production flow with effective preventive strategies.

• Revise and implement quality control documentation based on root cause analysis findings.

• Audit adherence to quality standards at new suppliers.

• Collaborate with suppliers to swiftly resolve non-conformances.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in quality management within high-volume manufacturing environments.

• Experience in the production of electromechanical products is preferred.

• Proven track record in promptly addressing and resolving quality issues to minimize production interruptions.

• Display critical thinking skills with the ability to focus on key issues during audits or problem reviews.

• Experience collaborating with suppliers to achieve desired outcomes based on specific contexts.

• High proficiency in English and Mandarin (written, verbal, and reading).

• Relevant quality-related certifications such as ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE or CQA) are advantageous.

• Formal Internal Auditor Certification is a plus.

• Willingness to travel regularly across the APAC region (25%+ of your time).

• Based in Guangdong, China with travel to Thailand and New Zealand, or based in New Zealand with over 50% travel to China and Thailand.
