Lead Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Ensure that each component in the supply chain is delivered with high quality and punctuality.

• Apply statistical process control techniques to critical-part manufacturing.

• Collaborate with suppliers to incorporate statistical process control into their process control plans.

• Conduct rapid sprint analyses with design engineers following production or OQC inspection failures from suppliers.

• Facilitate the release of shipments by implementing risk-mitigating strategies.

• Maintain production continuity through effective preventive actions.

• Revise and enforce quality-control documentation based on root-cause investigations.

• Evaluate new suppliers to ensure compliance with Halter’s quality standards.

• Partner with suppliers to promptly resolve identified non-conformances.

• Provide support to hardware manufacturing and contract manufacturers based in Asia.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within high-volume manufacturing.

• Experience in the production of electromechanical products is preferred.

• Proven track record in implementing and managing quality systems.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly respond to and resolve quality-related issues.

• Experience collaborating with suppliers to achieve desired outcomes.

• High proficiency in written, verbal, and reading English; proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.

• Relevant quality-related certifications such as ASQ certification, including CQE or CQA, are advantageous.

• Formal Internal Auditor Certification is a plus.

• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the APAC region, at least 25% of the time.
