Lead Structural Engineer – Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of structural engineers

• Collaborate with clients and engineers from various disciplines

• Oversee a diverse range of structural engineering projects

• Utilize expertise in materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design

• Work on projects for multiple clients and engage with them as necessary

• Direct the preparation and evaluation of design calculations, specifications, reports, and other deliverables

• Assist designers with the development of drawings

• Supervise and mentor others in producing high-quality engineering deliverables

• Conduct structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations using computer tools

• Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews

• Visit plant sites for construction coordination and field verification of designs

⛳️ Requirements

• No work authorization sponsorship available in the U.S.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution

• A minimum of ten years of experience as part of a project team designing and analyzing structures for industrial, heavy commercial, or nuclear facilities

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS

• Familiarity with design codes and standards including ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with AI, automation, programming, or related technologies is preferred but not mandatory

• A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred but not mandatory

• On-site construction support experience is preferred but not mandatory

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred but not mandatory
