Senior Forensic Structural Engineer, P.E.

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Allocate engineers to client losses within the designated area and oversee quality assurance.

• Inspect losses and damage sites at both residential and commercial properties.

• Carry out investigations to assess and document the extent of the damage.

• Offer guidance and leadership on intricate loss cases.

• Execute engineering strategies within the designated engineering team.

• Work alongside investigators to generate comprehensive reports detailing the causes and origins of losses and damages.

• Act as an expert witness in legal proceedings and/or depositions.

• Record and maintain billable hours based on time and expenses for failure analysis and forensic engineering projects.

• Collaborate with EFI's national team of forensic specialists on various projects.

• Assist in quality assurance programs.

• Travel as necessary.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.

• A Professional Engineering (PE) license is mandatory in the resident state.

• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience or a combination of experience and education is required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively.

• Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office products.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Capability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.

• Ability to meet or surpass Performance Competencies.

• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

• Must be able to kneel, squat, or bend as necessary.

• Must be able to work outdoors in both hot and cold weather conditions.

• Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and reach or work overhead.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to push or pull weights of up to 100 pounds.

• Capability to drive for up to 4 hours daily.
