Civil Engineer – Site Design, Drafting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare civil site plans for self-storage, industrial, and multifamily projects adhering to regulatory standards and project specifications.

• Develop grading, drainage, erosion control, stormwater, and utility plans based on boundary surveys and topographic maps.

• Conduct drainage, detention/retention, and cut-and-fill calculations.

• Utilize value-engineering principles to minimize sitework and construction expenses.

• Prepare quantity takeoffs and assist with project estimating tasks.

• Design floor plans, building layouts, elevations, and basic renderings for mixed units in self-storage and industrial projects.

• Support contractor bidding processes, perform bid comparisons, handle permitting, and coordinate project activities.

• Provide schedule updates and assist in managing multiple active projects.

• Collaborate with contractors and project teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in site design, building plans, and collaboration with U.S. contractors.

• Proven experience in grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. engineering standards and construction practices.

• Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CT / U.S. timezone.

• Proficiency in English is required for both application and work purposes.

• Experience with Civil 3D is preferred.

• Familiarity with HydroCAD, StormCAD, or similar software is an advantage.
