Lead – Standards & Assurance, Technology Labs

📋 Description

• Create and uphold the Tech Labs standard Operations & Maintenance playbook for the upkeep and operation of labs, cleanrooms, and critical research settings.

• Generate and sustain tech lab-specific documentation, SOPs, guidelines, and training resources.

• Conduct structured due-diligence assessments on individual accounts to capture operational models and pinpoint gaps.

• Ensure the playbook aligns with industry standards and stays compliant.

• Complete, secure approval for, formally launch, and revise the operating standard as equipment, codes, and guidelines evolve.

• Manage the Tech Labs assurance program by enhancing JCAP with tech lab-specific inquiries and guidance.

• Collaborate with the Vertical Engineering Lead for Tech Labs to guarantee that standards are implementable.

• Cultivate relationships with engineering subject matter experts, Technology account teams, and divisional leadership.

• Create training materials for the Tech Labs Operations and Maintenance standard and assurance program.

• Educate teams on the playbook, JCAP questions, and updates.

• Adhere to change management protocols and ensure standards are uniformly applied across accounts.

• Assist with lab-space incident management, including investigations, root cause analysis, trend identification, and reporting to the Senior Director.

• Collaborate with Engineering Operations, Quality & Compliance, and HSSE on statutory compliance and equipment testing procedures.

• Support client-facing technical consultations regarding lab-space performance and reliability.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (15+ years) in critical environment, tech lab, engineering, or standards/compliance leadership.

• Proven history of drafting and maintaining operational standards or SOPs utilized by field technicians.

• Familiarity with designing, executing, or aiding assurance, audit, compliance, or standards-implementation programs.

• Capacity to operate across multiple accounts and reconcile a singular global standard against local variations.

• Exceptional technical writing and stakeholder communication abilities.

• Practical experience within technology lab environments, environmental controls, or comparable critical infrastructure.

• Experience in cross-functional coordination within a large, matrixed organization.

• Strong analytical and program management capabilities.

• Solid technical and engineering comprehension of critical environments and lab systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline.

• Profound technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, cleanroom, and life-safety fields.

• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks and industry standards pertinent to technology labs or critical facilities.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

• Experience in the technology sector is preferred.

• Familiarity with Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) frameworks and failure mode analysis is preferred.

• Previous experience establishing a standards or assurance function from the ground up is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
