This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of structural engineers while collaborating with engineers from other disciplines and clients.

• Mentor and guide structural engineering teams on projects related to new nuclear facilities and enhancements or modifications to nuclear power plants.

• Utilize expertise in materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.

• Collaborate as part of engineering and design teams on a diverse array of projects for various clients.

• Prepare, review, and offer guidance on design calculations.

• Develop specifications and collaborate with designers on the development of drawings.

• Prepare, review, or supervise structural analysis of safety-critical structures subjected to seismic and impactive/impulsive loading conditions.

• May require travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for construction coordination and field verification.


⛳️ Requirements

• MSCE with a focus on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

• Possession of a PE or SE license.

• A minimum of ten years' experience as a project-team member in the design and analysis of industrial, heavy commercial, or nuclear facility structures.

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STRUDL, SASSI, or ANSYS.

• Familiarity with design codes and standards including ASCE 4, ASCE 43, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• A Ph.D. is preferred but not mandatory.

• Willingness or ability to lead others by utilizing data, automation, and AI to enhance workflows and deliver cost-effective designs.

• Experience overseeing engineers using Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel for engineering automation is preferred but not required.

• Additional education in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields is valued.
