πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee the technical assessment of intricate components, assemblies, and projects.

β€’ Set benchmarks for evaluating complexity across the sourcing team.

β€’ Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify manufacturing risks, tolerances, materials, and process requirements.

β€’ Facilitate the selection of manufacturing processes, capabilities, and providers.

β€’ Define, manage, and audit the technical tagging framework.

β€’ Act as the final technical reviewer for complex or high-value quotations.

β€’ Recognize and address technical gaps, risks, and ambiguities.

β€’ Offer manufacturing expertise for critical deals, escalations, and strategic customer projects.

β€’ Lead technical discussions with clients and manufacturing providers.

β€’ Clarify requirements, suggest DFM alternatives, and tackle technical challenges.

β€’ Coach, mentor, and nurture Sourcing Engineers.

β€’ Assist with onboarding and training processes.

β€’ Prioritize and allocate team workload during peak times.

β€’ Maintain a repository of best practices and technical guidelines.

β€’ Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, sales, quality, and operations teams.

β€’ Drive continuous improvement initiatives for sourcing and quotation workflows.

β€’ Contribute to the tools, automation, and data utilized in technical assessments.

β€’ Monitor and report team metrics such as quote accuracy, turnaround time, and tagging quality.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Advanced technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar field.

β€’ Over 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting working with complex parts or assemblies.

β€’ Background in sourcing engineering, technical procurement, or supplier engineering.

β€’ Strong expertise in manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, casting, 3D printing, and finishing.

β€’ Familiarity with GD&T, technical drawings, materials, and quality standards.

β€’ Demonstrated experience collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and cross-functional sourcing and engineering teams.

β€’ Capability to guide, inspire, and develop technical colleagues.

β€’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

β€’ Proficiency in English at a B2 level or above.

β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

β€’ Competence in managing multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.

β€’ Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

β€’ Composed under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities, and detail-oriented.
