Category Manager – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Draft, assess, modify, negotiate, finalize, and oversee contracts for supplies and services acquired.

• Ensure that agreements adhere to organizational, regulatory, and legal standards.

• Lead procurement and sourcing efforts, which include evaluating suppliers, negotiating prices, renewing contracts, and managing competitive bidding processes.

• Develop and nurture relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Facilitate contract reviews and approvals with Legal, Finance, Information Systems, Privacy, Supply Chain, and other business partners.

• Monitor and manage contracts using Workday Strategic Sourcing and other contract management tools.

• Keep precise contract documentation and maintain repository records.

• Provide updates and reports on sourcing, negotiations, and contract-related activities.

• Assist with value analysis initiatives, efforts in supplier diversity, and process enhancement projects.

• Support additional Supply Chain projects and departmental objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in healthcare supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract management.

• Proven experience in negotiating pricing agreements, managing supplier relationships, and leading bid/RFP processes.

• Demonstrated expertise in contract management, including drafting, reviewing, modifying, and negotiating contract terms and conditions.

• Experience ensuring adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and legal standards.

• Strong project management and contract administration capabilities, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Familiarity with contract management systems such as Workday Strategic Sourcing or similar platforms.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Legal, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, and leadership teams.

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Experience working with healthcare organizations, health systems, hospitals, or other regulated environments.

• Knowledge of value analysis methodologies and supplier performance evaluation.

• Experience in supporting supplier diversity initiatives.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing competing priorities.
