Lead Software Engineer – Golang, TypeScript, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Assume technical leadership of a customer-facing product that has a significant impact, utilized by major corporations, central banks, and non-governmental organizations.

• Ensure the quality of code and architecture produced by the team is maintained.

• Mentor, influence, and manage team engineers.

• Align the team on objectives, outcomes, and timelines.

• Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to convert the strategic roadmap into actionable tasks.

• Provide transparency on delivery progress to stakeholders outside the team.

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications.

• Create high-performing interfaces using the company's design system.

• Enhance the performance and observability of services and applications.

• Improve the quality of life for the team and the business through automation, process enhancements, or the adoption of new technologies.

• Consistently and reliably gather, process, verify, and serve large volumes of cross-border payments data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing a team and coaching engineers.

• Proficiency in writing Golang services and backend web applications, including deployment in Docker containers.

• Skill in writing efficient SQL.

• Experience in developing component-based application frontends using React/TypeScript.

• Knowledge of clean code principles and idioms in TypeScript and Go.

• Background in reviewing code and establishing quality standards within a team.

• Capability to learn and engage with new business domains and products.

• Strong communication skills for conveying complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience or interest in AI technologies.

• Familiarity with applications that involve concurrent logic, such as goroutines (helpful but not mandatory).

• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab CI (helpful but not mandatory).

• Knowledge of configuring and utilizing observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana (helpful but not mandatory).

• Experience with AI to boost productivity and the use of production-ready AI tools (helpful but not mandatory).

• Familiarity with MaterialUI (helpful but not mandatory).

• Experience with Airflow, Python, and Terraform (helpful but not mandatory).

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM EST/EDT, with potential on-call support.
