Lead Software Engineer – Enterprise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance while actively developing highly available applications, APIs, and integrations within the procure-to-pay platform.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to identify use cases and swiftly prototype AI and technology opportunities.

• Spearhead the adoption of an AI-first software development lifecycle encompassing discovery, design, coding, testing, code reviews, and delivery.

• Develop procure-to-pay solutions and integrations for purchasing, invoice automation, approvals, and accounts payable.

• Enhance touchless invoice processing and spend control through automation, AI, and modern application design.

• Mentor engineers and perform code reviews.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications, APIs, and integrations.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders to convert requirements into scalable solutions.

• Direct technical design and architecture for scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.

• Drive delivery priorities, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate progress and outcomes.

• Create reusable integration patterns, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering standards.

• Advocate for AI-assisted development, specification-driven development, automated testing, AI code reviews, and intelligent workflows.

• Resolve complex production and integration issues while maintaining data integrity and business value.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in developing and delivering custom web, mobile, enterprise, or integration solutions.

• More than 4 years of full-stack development experience.

• Proven technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, design guidance, architecture, and ownership of delivery.

• Strong practical experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, and Node.js.

• Experience in developing back-end services using Python and/or Rust.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

• Experience integrating procurement and accounts-payable systems and procure-to-pay solutions like Medius and Coupa.

• Proficient in designing and consuming secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders.

• Experience or strong interest in leveraging AI to accelerate delivery and prototype AI use cases.

• Familiarity with C#/.NET is an advantage.

• Advanced expertise in TypeScript and core JavaScript (ES6+) across the full stack.

• Proficient in building responsive front-end applications with React.

• Experience in developing scalable back-end microservices using Node.js, Python, or Rust.

• Strong database design abilities with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

• Understanding of modern CI/CD practices and automated testing frameworks.

• Strong comprehension of API design, integrations, distributed systems, and contemporary application architecture.

• In-depth understanding of procure-to-pay and accounts-payable integration architecture, procurement, invoice automation, and supplier connectivity.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted software development and AI-first engineering methodologies.

• Ability to articulate technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capacity to balance hands-on engineering with technical leadership, delivery oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
