Lead Software Engineer – CIAM, Fraud Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer technical expertise and estimate required effort

• Identify the best technological solutions to fulfill business requirements

• Provide daily application support

• Write code and supervise members of the distributed development team

• Design, create, implement, and maintain enterprise applications and services

• Create, document, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs

• Apply distributed-system and service-integration patterns

• Adopt secure software development practices to safeguard sensitive customer data

• Support CI/CD and DevSecOps methodologies as well as deployment pipelines

• Investigate complex technical challenges and devise sustainable solutions

• Work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders

• Guide engineers and conduct code reviews

• Provide technical direction across various projects and initiatives

• Participate in a rotating schedule for 24/7 on-call support

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent with 10 years of experience in software application development and maintenance

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitLab, or comparable code repository systems

• Advanced expertise with ServiceNow, Jira, or other IT service management and agile work tracking tools

• Extensive experience in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications and services utilizing Java and Spring frameworks, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC/WebFlux, and Spring Security

• Proven experience in designing, documenting, developing, and supporting RESTful APIs, such as OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, API versioning, API contracts, and idempotent transaction processing

• Strong grasp of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT validation, and mutual TLS (mTLS)

• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Redis, Resilience4J, circuit breakers, retries, and fault tolerance strategies

• Solid understanding of Oracle and PostgreSQL, SQL, JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, data modeling, and performance optimization

• Experience adopting secure software development practices, encryption at rest, field-level encryption, secure transmission, and PII protection

• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices utilizing GitLab, Artifactory, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar platforms

• Comprehensive knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall

• Ability to assess complex technical issues and create sustainable solutions

• Capability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance

• Proficient in Java, Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET, Cobol, SQL scripting, and PowerShell scripting

• Willingness to be on-call 24/7 on a rotating schedule

• Preferred: Experience with CIAM solutions, identity platforms, risk-based authentication, adaptive access controls, MFA, passkeys, FIDO2, fraud prevention, event-driven architectures, cloud-native/containerized/microservices architectures, and experience in regulated industries
