Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct teams consisting of five or more individuals tasked with developing, testing, and rectifying defects in application software.

• Oversee the preparation and evaluation of application software designs at the system level.

• Guide cross-functional teams in estimating work and creating project schedules for technical endeavors.

• Coach team members in formulating work plans.

• Facilitate teams in addressing intricate, unique challenges that cross multiple systems and team boundaries.

• Retain authoritative expertise on systems under the team's purview.

• Counsel business process owners regarding the application and modification of system software.

• Uphold expert-level knowledge of software development best practices, tools, and methodologies.

• Champion quality and continuous improvement initiatives across various business units.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years of relevant professional experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development or testing.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies, practices, and tools.

• Understanding of project management methodologies, practices, and tools.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages utilized by the team.

• Acquainted with software testing practices and tools.

• Knowledgeable in problem-solving techniques and tools.

• Willingness to travel as necessary for business and professional development purposes.

• Availability to work evenings and weekends when required for system implementations and issue resolution.

• Understanding of business analysis practices and business process modeling.

• Knowledge of quality management and improvement practices.

• Familiarity with team leadership skills, practices, and behaviors.

• Knowledge of effective and legal interview techniques, tools, and applicable laws.

• Ability to craft and present business proposals to management effectively.

• Skilled in effective writing and public speaking.

• Capable of conveying complex information to a general audience.
