Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with hardware and software product teams to provide an exceptional web experience for gamers.

• Design scalable cloud architectures, high-traffic websites, and open APIs that support the product portfolio.

• Quickly familiarize yourself with the React and AWS container-based technology stack.

• Deliver a new feature in the cloud platform within your first month.

• Assess the cloud platform architecture and propose refactoring opportunities.

• Work alongside product management and engineering to plan modifications to the cloud platform.

• Assist product management in outlining the quarterly roadmap for the cloud platform.

• Innovate and enhance features for web-based gaming experiences.

• Test and provide feedback on unreleased hardware products.

• Coordinate with hardware and software product teams regarding the upcoming product vision.

• Help define hardware and web APIs that connect applications with hardware and cloud services.

• Proactively refactor code and ensure sufficient test coverage is maintained.

• Evaluate programming languages, frameworks, and tools for potential integration or migration opportunities.

• Educate software teams on best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in full-stack software engineering.

• Proven experience in building scalable cloud solutions, including container orchestration, database design, network infrastructure, and distributed systems design.

• Expertise in designing and constructing web back ends and web user interfaces.

• Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain reliable, high-availability cloud platforms.

• Practical experience with observability, encompassing logging, tracing, and monitoring.

• Familiarity with resilience engineering.

• Established experience leading a platform engineering team to deliver thoroughly documented and tested cloud solutions.

• Proficient in utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT.

• Experience in guiding a team of software engineers to create tested and well-documented software.

• A strong desire to mentor and uplift fellow engineers.

• A passion for continuous learning and excellence in software engineering.
