Lead Software Engineer, AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the delivery of shared AI services, tools, deployment frameworks, and operational methodologies.

• Establish quarterly technical priorities that balance immediate user requirements with foundational investments.

• Drive decisions focused on reliability, security, observability, cost, and the developer experience.

• Collaborate with product engineering, data, security, and platform partners to address dependencies.

• Develop reusable frameworks for architecture, testing, documentation, and production operations.

• Mentor engineers through intricate designs, delivery obstacles, and technical trade-offs.

• Keep stakeholders updated on progress, risks, and decisions that enhance outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer.

• At least 1 year of experience leading software teams or significant technical initiatives.

• Capability to guide team-level technical delivery and make informed decisions in partially defined problem areas.

• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, Terraform, and contemporary DevOps practices.

• Experience in designing secure, observable, and reliable systems while integrating technical investments into team roadmaps.

• Strong grasp of AI/LLM application and platform patterns, including their operational and security ramifications.

• Ability to pinpoint cross-team dependencies, align stakeholders, and enhance delivery results.

• A coaching mindset and a proven history of fostering teammate growth through complex technical tasks.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be on camera during virtual interviews.
