This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and execute a research study for Play for the Lead.

• Investigate how youth participation strategies impact engagement and retention in sports and physical activities among girls and young women from migrant, refugee, first- and second-generation, asylum-seeking, and ethnically marginalized communities.

• Develop the research framework and assessment criteria.

• Oversee or coordinate the relevant data collection and analysis processes.

• Produce actionable insights and recommendations for the adidas Foundation, partner organizations, and the broader Sport for Development sector.

• Actively engage young women in the research process.

• Utilize participatory and ethical research methodologies.

• Effectively leverage existing data generated from the project.

⛳️ Requirements

• Individual researcher, research team, university, or research institution.

• Proficiency in designing and executing a research study.

• Capability to develop a comprehensive research design and assessment framework.

• Experience in leading or coordinating relevant data collection and analysis efforts.

• Ability to generate practical insights and recommendations.

• Engage young women in a meaningful way throughout the research.

• Implement participatory and ethical research practices.

• Strategically utilize existing project-generated data whenever feasible.

• The proposal must include a clear understanding of the assignment, proposed methodology, research team composition, relevant experience, indicative timeline, detailed budget, CV(s), and examples of similar research.

• All submissions must be in English.

• Maximum length for the proposal: 8 pages.
