
Lead Quality Assurance/Quality Control Specialist – Construction Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review and manage QA/QC programs throughout field engineering, construction execution, startup, and warranty stages.
• Perform contractor audits and offer feedback along with suggestions for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to the latest design-document revisions and maintain records of changes.
• Supervise the storage and upkeep of project materials and equipment.
• Evaluate construction test reports and compliance documents, including those related to welding, concrete, NDE, welding procedures, and welder qualifications.
• Oversee the quality of soil compaction, concrete placement, structural steel bolt-up, rotating equipment alignment, and electrical cable testing.
• Keep quality records and as-built documentation up to date.
• Communicate audit findings, performance metrics, issues, and corrective measures to project management and stakeholders.
• Assist contractors in pre-planning quality control processes.
• Record inspection findings, deviations, and non-conformances.
• Monitor non-conformance reports and their associated corrective actions.
• Compile QA/QC performance statistics and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Act as a liaison between contractors/subcontractors and the client.
• Uphold safety protocols and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of quality activities, inspections, equipment status, and performance metrics.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to plant operators, maintenance teams, and stakeholders.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance, operations, and maintenance in the power generation sector.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices pertaining to power plant construction, operations, maintenance, and safety.
• Understanding of ASME code welding.
• Familiarity with National Boiler Vessel or repair alterations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and work in various locations throughout the United States.
• Acceptable certifications include: NCCER welding/pipefitter, AWS-SCWI (Welding Inspector), AWS-CRI (Certified Radiographer Interpreter), and ASNT Level II VT.
