This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete execution of substation projects, encompassing engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk in accordance with contract stipulations and GE Grid Solutions procedures.
• Create and sustain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution strategies.
• Detect risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation or recovery strategies as necessary.
• Act as the main project liaison for electrical and mechanical engineering teams.
• Guarantee compliance with customer specifications, utility standards, NEC, IEEE, and relevant regulatory mandates.
• Assist in technical decision-making concerning transformers, switchgear, breakers, protection and control, and HV/MV systems.
• Serve as the primary contact for utility grid and data center EPC clients.
• Lead customer meetings, progress evaluations, and resolution of issues.
• Coordinate between internal teams and external partners, including EPCs, subcontractors, suppliers, and OEMs.
• Oversee project financial performance, including cost management, forecasting, billing milestones, and margin safeguarding.
• Assist with change management, claims, and contract administration alongside commercial teams.
• Ensure adherence to GE policies, contractual commitments, and internal controls.
• Promote compliance with GE EHS policies and foster a robust safety culture.
• Drive high-quality execution in line with GE standards, utility requirements, and specific project quality plans.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Background in executing projects for U.S. utilities or data centers.
• Proficient understanding of substation systems, project lifecycle execution, and engineering coordination.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Familiarity with U.S. utility practices, standards, and interconnection requirements.
• Experience with GE Grid Solutions products or similar OEM/EPC environments.
• Proficient in project management tools like MS Project, Primavera, and SAP.
• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities within a matrix organization.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
• Results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically for client meetings and site engagements.
• PMP or another project management certification is preferred.
• Experience in supporting utility substation projects, data center clients, or large industrial power infrastructure is preferred.
