Lead Project Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the project schedule by consolidating inputs from all departments, units, and external parties involved in the project.

• Deliver customer reporting as mandated by contract and engage directly with clients regarding scheduling issues.

• Provide look-ahead and backlog reports with prioritizations to convey potential and actual risks, driving project focus.

• Foster a consistent cost operating rhythm to address risks and opportunities.

• Create cost forecasts based on functional contributions and analytics, challenging functional estimates as necessary.

• Monitor and control cost fluctuations, comparing current scope and progress against prior forecasts and validating estimate accuracy.

• Identify, escalate, and assist the project team in mitigating potential schedule and cost overrun risks during project execution.

• Aid in tendering by formulating logical and achievable schedules that align with customer goals, utilizing historical durations and lessons learned.

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and project team on planning, schedule analysis, and cost analysis.

• Oversee operational performance on a daily basis, both retrospectively and looking ahead.

• Potentially lead a junior team and act as a liaison between clients and GE.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Experience in Project Management, Cost Control, or Project Planning.

• Proficiency in Substation Projects principles and the operational processes of EPC environments and large EPC Projects.

• Basic familiarity with either MS Project or Primavera P6.

• Fundamental knowledge of SAP.

• Understanding of project management processes and procedures.

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.

• Over 5 years of experience in planning and cost management.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to document, plan, market, and implement programs.

• Self-motivated with a high degree of flexibility, resilience, and a self-learning mindset.

• Effective team player with strong prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Basic proficiency in Portuguese will be considered an asset.
