Lead Program Scheduler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Serve as the lead planning and scheduling subject matter expert, providing surge support to Tier One Programs.

• Assist with tool implementations, change control processes, customer deliverables, baseline reviews, and cost/schedule integration within an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) environment.

• Aid in significant replanning efforts, which include Over Target Baseline (OTB)/Over Target Schedule (OTS) actions, formal internal reprogramming, and schedule recovery initiatives.

• Create, maintain, and analyze intricate integrated program schedules, incorporating resource-loaded schedules and Earned Value-related schedule analysis.

• Develop actionable plans and unify contributions from functional and program teams.

• Formulate and assess Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) based on program requirements, including Statement of Work (SOW), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and related planning inputs.

• Conduct critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, network logic validation, baseline maintenance, and schedule health metric evaluation, including Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and Schedule Performance Index (SPI).

• Detect schedule problems, logic discrepancies, and performance variances; investigate root causes and propose corrective actions.

• Coordinate the integration of schedules across engineering, finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams.

• Support EVMS execution through schedule status and variance analysis.

• Prepare and deliver presentations on schedule status, milestones, critical path drivers, risks, and recovery plans.

• Manage the integration of subcontractor and supplier schedules.

• Utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and earned value methodologies.

• Ensure schedule adherence to internal procedures, project control requirements, and customer or industry standards.

• Enhance scheduling processes, tools, metrics, standards, reporting methods, and resource-management visibility.

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.

• Engage in program reviews, status meetings, leadership briefings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, STEM, or a related field with at least 9 years of experience in planning and scheduling; or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years in a related field; or, alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of related experience without a degree.

• Comprehensive understanding of supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs within a FAR and DFARS framework.

• Familiarity with PASEG and IPMDAR guidelines.

• Capability to lead planning and scheduling activities for large, high-visibility government programs.

• Proficiency in creating and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and associated schedules.

• Ability to develop and present project-level reports, presentations, and deliverables.

• Experience with resource-loaded IMS for program planning, execution, and EVMS compliance.

• Knowledge of Monte Carlo schedule risk analysis techniques.

• Familiarity with Space Systems programs.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.

• Experience using Structured Solutions Incorporated (SSI) tools.

• Capable of program management and coordination, including understanding Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and quality focus.

• Working knowledge of EVMS principles.
