Lead Oncology Data Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Oversee and ensure all elements of the cancer program align with the standards set by the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) and the Commission on Cancer (COC).

• Keep abreast of the latest requirements, policies, and procedures impacting the cancer program.

• Execute responsibilities related to the Cancer Registry, Cancer Committee, and Cancer Conferences.

• Deliver education, training, and supervision for Oncology Data Specialists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Maintain ongoing education requirements for certification.

• Possession of National Oncology Data Specialist certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association is mandatory at the time of hiring.

• Fulfill annual continuing education obligations.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Registrar in an ACOS-approved Cancer Program.

• Familiarity with a computerized registry system is essential.
