This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a leading team member overseeing and supporting on-site field operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Execute repairs and diagnostics at heights on medium and major components, such as generator bearings, generator slip rings, rotor and stator cables, gearbox HSS, HSS bearings, IMS, yaw drives, generator exchanges, and trunnion pins.
• Direct team members during lifting operations involving equipment at elevations exceeding 250 feet.
• Supervise lifting operations following skills verification and develop, assess, modify, and finalize lifting plans.
• Perform safe and efficient repairs on Wind Turbine electrical systems.
• Execute Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures as an Authorized Person.
• Carry out pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses, Risk Assessments, and daily safety briefings.
• Engage professionally with vendors and customers.
• Document work in electronic formats and provide feedback to the Safety and Quality department.
• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience on any platforms.
• Direct experience with turbines is essential.
• Capability to read and interpret schematics from various Wind Turbine manufacturers.
• Experience with Main Component Exchange (MCE) is required, along with additional knowledge of lifting operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical systems.
• Ability to identify potential issues and significant faults.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Willingness and ability to climb a wind turbine vertically up to 300 feet.
• Must maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
• Capable of lifting and transporting equipment as necessary, including items weighing over 50 pounds.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in challenging weather conditions.
