Lead IT Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee security solutions, including IAM, endpoint security, firewalls, email security, application security, software development security, cloud security, and security awareness.

• Create secure architectures for networks, systems, and applications.

• Manage the installation, configuration, setup, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of security solutions.

• Perform risk assessments, vulnerability scans, security evaluations, and threat hunting activities.

• Act as the escalation point for security-related incidents.

• Report on threats and vulnerabilities while researching weaknesses to formulate countermeasures.

• Identify cost-effective solutions to cybersecurity challenges.

• Represent IT Security in IT projects and offer security-related advice, expertise, and recommendations.

• Conduct training sessions to raise security awareness.

• Plan, research, and create security policies, standards, and procedures.

• Ensure the tuning and effectiveness of security tools throughout the environment.

• Collaborate with the Managed Security Services Provider and IT teams to review alerts and investigate security incidents.

• Provide 24/7 support for Identity & Access Management, Security Incident Response, and escalation needs.

• Execute other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field, or equivalent experience, is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of overall experience is necessary.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and supporting enterprise information technology security solutions is required.

• Practical experience with endpoint security, network firewalls, email security gateways, content filtering, IAM, Single Sign-On (SSO), Windows servers, and virtualization technology is essential.

• Preferred experience with Azure, SSO, Cisco Firewalls, Defender Security, VMWare, EDR, XDR, Cisco Umbrella DNS Security, and hybrid infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud Products, including Office 365, Intune, Azure, Azure VM, NSGs, Azure Sentinel, ATP, and Azure Active Directory, is important.

• Current relevant certifications are preferred, such as CompTIA Security+, PenTest+, OSCP, CEH, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CCNP Security, and CISA.

• Ability to excel in a remote working environment is required.

• Some travel may be necessary.

• Must be available to work outside traditional Monday–Friday work hours and regular business hours.
