This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and assist in both small and large controls projects, emphasizing technical execution and efficient project management.
• Enhance and modernize nuclear power facilities utilizing cutting-edge control technologies.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to successfully complete projects.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and address controls engineering challenges.
• Create digital systems designs, including PLC, DCS, HSI, and networked computer systems.
• Develop specifications for functional and implementation requirements as well as procurement for nuclear plant control systems.
• Engage with clients to ensure effective project execution and maintain client satisfaction.
• Draft and review technical reports, calculations, and studies.
• Manage resource allocation and develop estimates and budgets for task completion.
• Assist in proposal development activities.
• Create and assess diagrams and drawings for new and upgraded control solutions.
• Conduct technical evaluations of vendor proposals.
• Collaborate with vendors, review documentation, ensure compliance of equipment, and observe FAT performance on behalf of clients.
• Aid in the implementation of projects at client locations.
• Lead initiatives in automation and process improvement, overseeing engineering automation outputs and AI-driven workflows.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in designing instrumentation and control systems within a project team setting for commercial and industrial applications, focusing on integrated and detailed system design modifications.
• A Professional Engineering license is preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• In-depth technical knowledge of available equipment and established pre-engineered systems for executing systems design.
• Experience serving as a client liaison in either a support or lead engineering capacity.
• Proficient in reviewing design documentation.
• Willingness or capability to lead others using contemporary tools such as automation and AI to enhance workflows, minimize rework, and provide cost-effective designs.
