Lead Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and manage production-quality Kubernetes infrastructure.

• Develop virtualized Kubernetes clusters and tools for provisioning, upgrades, scaling, security, observability, and troubleshooting.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation to ensure repeatable provisioning and operations.

• Design and manage Kubernetes networking, ingress, DNS, service discovery, load balancing, and network policies.

• Design and manage Kubernetes storage systems, persistent volumes, and CSI-based solutions.

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across various layers of the stack.

• Develop internal platform services that enhance reliability and developer experience.

• Establish infrastructure standards, operational practices, observability, and reliability mechanisms.

• Make practical trade-offs concerning speed, reliability, simplicity, and maintainability.

• Provide technical leadership and influence the architecture of the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of experience in infrastructure engineering.

• Profound knowledge of Kubernetes internals and core components.

• Extensive production experience in designing and operating Kubernetes environments.

• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code and automation.

• In-depth understanding of Kubernetes networking, ingress, DNS, service discovery, load balancing, and storage.

• Excellent Linux and systems troubleshooting capabilities.

• Experience in managing containerized workloads in a production environment.

• Proficient in debugging across Kubernetes, Linux, networking, storage, virtualization, and physical infrastructure.

• Experience in building reliable, observable, and maintainable infrastructure.

• Ability to take ownership of infrastructure issues from architecture through to production.

• Strong technical leadership skills and practical decision-making abilities.

• Candidates should be able to join within 30 days.

• Must be a citizen of India and currently residing in India.
