This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Foster Ryder's culture of Continuous Improvement throughout the organization
β’ Implement continuous improvement strategies in both new and existing operations
β’ Identify, lead, and facilitate operational changes using data-driven continuous improvement, engineering, and automation initiatives
β’ Gather data, conduct statistical analyses, map and document processes, highlight process gaps, and apply enhancements
β’ Create and execute transformation plans aimed at enhancing customer value
β’ Propel improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development metrics
β’ Oversee and finalize high-impact continuous improvement projects
β’ Assist with start-ups, retrofits, and expansions, including pricing inputs, go-live activities, and steady-state certifications
β’ Identify and advocate for automation projects
β’ Regularly engage with account management and customers
β’ Mentor employees on continuous improvement, quality assurance, and Lean principles
β’ Utilize engineering techniques such as product slotting, labor time studies, layouts, flow optimization, data profiling, and resource modeling
β’ Potentially oversee continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals, participating in hiring, coaching, and performance management
β’ Facilitate and implement Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events, including A3 charter creation, pre-work, results delivery, and sustainment
β’ Guide process owners on Lean methodologies and operational excellence
β’ Report data and actions in alignment with site objectives
β’ Recommend strategies for inventory and supply chain
β’ Design, implement, monitor, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
β’ Establish and supervise a standardized corrective action system
β’ Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements
β’ Conduct Quality Assurance activities for start-ups or expansions
β’ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with over 7 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; if holding an MBA, an undergraduate degree in Engineering is required
β’ More than 7 years of relevant experience in Warehousing & Transportation and/or Manufacturing
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
β’ Intermediate skills in data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX, etc.) are preferred
β’ Intermediate knowledge of Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, Management Accountability Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 5S/Workplace Organization
β’ Advanced comprehension and experience in engineering and data analysis functions, including slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, and metrics
β’ In-depth knowledge of Warehouse Management operations, data analytics, Industrial Engineering, various warehouse types, warehouse layout/design, Lean methodologies, material handling solutions, and automation
β’ Lean Six Sigma certification is mandatory
β’ Certifications such as cPMP, ISO/QMS, and APICS and/or Supply Chain Logistics Certification are preferred
β’ Willingness to travel up to 10%-15%
