This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design HVAC systems.

• Conduct investigations, troubleshoot, and resolve HVAC engineering challenges.

• Create integrated HVAC systems, encompassing commercial/industrial ventilation, control room HVAC, laboratory HVAC, chilled water systems, and heating systems.

• Assist in the planning, scheduling, execution, and coordination of detailed facility engineering design phases.

• Execute design calculations and produce comprehensive system designs.

• Develop technical specifications for HVAC equipment.

• Prepare engineering studies.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, client personnel, and suppliers to ensure designs are thorough and delivered on time.

• Aid senior engineers in evaluating existing facilities and recommending upgrades and replacements.

• Present insights and suggestions to clients and colleagues.

• Lead initiatives to apply automation and AI to enhance engineering workflows, minimize rework, and deliver cost-efficient designs.

• Oversee the implementation of automation and AI while ensuring the accuracy of outcomes.

• Supervise engineers in programming or scripting tools such as Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel for engineering automation.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is mandatory.

• A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in HVAC system and chilled water system design for commercial, laboratory, and industrial operations.

• Expertise in TRACE 700 or 3D+ software, AutoCAD, and Microstation.

• Capability to develop design flow diagrams and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards related to HVAC and ventilation systems.

• Experience in preparing HVAC studies.

• Background in planning, scheduling, executing, or coordinating detailed design phases in facility engineering projects.

• PE license is preferred.

• ASHRAE Membership is valued but not essential.
