Lead Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and uphold user-facing features and back-end services utilizing React, TypeScript, and AWS services.

• Design, execute, and sustain infrastructure as code through AWS CDK.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and offer technical mentorship to junior developers.

• Promote the adoption of best practices and the latest technologies.

• Enhance application performance.

• Implement automated testing using Playwright.

• Ensure technical feasibility and maintain code quality through thorough reviews.

• Tackle complex challenges with divergent thinking to devise innovative solutions.

• Adhere to DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery.

• Develop and sustain a deep understanding of customers' business processes and operations.

• Support team-centered Agile software development methodologies.

• Create and maintain internal-facing, data-intensive single-page web applications that support College Board's core products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of recent, substantial, hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.

• Proficiency in the AWS cloud ecosystem, including Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and DynamoDB.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and testing high-performing, fault-tolerant serverless and container-based cloud applications.

• Skill in building, testing, and managing web-based applications.

• A bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science, systems engineering, information systems, or a related field.

• Willingness to travel 3–5 times annually to College Board offices or for College Board business.

• Authorization to work in the United States for any employer without requiring sponsorship.

• Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills.

• A curious and enthusiastic attitude towards emerging technologies, with a readiness to experiment with and adopt AI-driven solutions, and the ability to independently learn new digital tools.
