Lead Finance Solution Architect – MS Dynamics 365

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete solution design for finance-related processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365.

• Suggest best practices and enhance the utilization of standard ERP features.

• Conduct workshops and detailed analysis sessions with Business Consultants.

• Challenge proposals to ensure solutions remain straightforward and aligned with Microsoft Dynamics standards.

• Directly configure ERP finance modules.

• Oversee developers, functional consultants, and implementation partners throughout the delivery process.

• Set up governance for configuration management, environments, sandbox strategy, testing, and release management.

• Document design decisions, secure approvals, and maintain traceability.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Functional Managers team.

• Provide guidance to team members on best practices and emerging technologies.

• Keep track of D365 FSCM and Business Central releases and their new features.

• Assist with version upgrade cycles and contribute to shaping the long-term ERP roadmap.

• Promote continuous improvement, simplification, standardization, and automation.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to create scalable ERP finance solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Functional Consultant focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management.

• Preferably experienced with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Strong knowledge in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank Management, Tax, and financial reporting.

• Participation in several full lifecycle FSCM and/or BC implementations, migrations, or significant rollouts across various markets and industries.

• Proven experience in leading Functional Managers or senior consultants.

• Comprehensive understanding of Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes.

• Ability to convert finance requirements into technological solutions and produce solution design documents.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies in enterprise settings.

• Experience with Business Central in addition to FSCM is advantageous.

• Exposure to FSCM and/or BC ISV solutions.

• Knowledge of AI/ML and Copilot functionalities within the Microsoft ecosystem.

• Practical experience with APIs, integration patterns, and data flows between D365 and other systems.

• Microsoft certifications in D365 Finance, such as MB-310 or MB-700, are beneficial.

• Must reside in Portugal or Germany.
