Lead, Finance – Record-to-Report (R2R) Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Act as the functional owner and subject matter expert for financial systems within Mars Snacking Accelerator.

• Spearhead the financial systems strategy and create multi-year capability roadmaps.

• Directly manage the Finance Functional Analyst.

• Oversee the strategic and operational integration of the Accelerator's SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud with the Mars enterprise Central Finance (CFIN) platform.

• Configure, implement, and provide support for SAP FI modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, and Asset Accounting.

• Design and implement solutions for product costing related to material costing, cost object controlling, and product cost by period/order.

• Develop and enhance processes for intercompany billing, reconciliation, and elimination.

• Promote process harmonization within a Clean Core SaaS architecture.

• Convert executive finance priorities into automated cloud capabilities.

• Ensure real-time replication of financial documents, resolution of AIF errors, cost object mapping, and the integrity of group consolidation.

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the Finance Functional Analyst while aligning analyst and partner resources with initiatives.

• Execute financial initiatives via SAP Activate using CALM, Jira, and Monday.com.

• Encourage the use of Joule, Copilot, and SAP Situation Handling to automate reconciliations and detect anomalies.

• Manage AMS support according to SLA/KPI metrics, including MTTR and ticket closure SLAs.

• Uphold standards from the Mars Financial Manual and RBAC/SoD.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise ERP focusing on financial system design, implementation, and operations.

• Proven background in mentoring and leading functional analysts.

• Extensive practical experience in architecting, configuring, and managing SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) solutions.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud is highly advantageous.

• Demonstrated knowledge of or significant functional understanding of SAP Central Finance (CFIN) replication processes, AIF error management, and master data mapping.

• At least 5 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Food & Beverage sectors.

• Familiarity with product costing, standard costing variances, inventory valuation, co-manufacturing accounting, and trade deduction integration.

• Experience managing projects through SAP Activate with tools like SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), Jira, Monday.com, or Smartsheet.

• Experience with AI agents and Situation Handling for exception automation.

• Strong understanding of enterprise financial controls, Mars internal control standards (MFM), role-based security catalogs, and AMS partner SLA management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
