This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +4 more states.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Roche products.
• Deliver high-level support for installation, upkeep, and repairs.
• Spearhead the creation of training and mentorship initiatives for new hires and junior engineers.
• Evaluate regional and customer requirements using independent judgment.
• Proactively address complex issues before, during, and post-installation.
• Handle escalations and assist the local team in navigating critical technical challenges.
• Offer strategic leadership and guidance to the team.
• Escalate only the most intricate problems to senior leadership.
• Engage in daily travel within a field-based role, with up to 60% requiring overnight stays.
• An associate’s degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Medical Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent military training is mandatory.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking; alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in coaching or mentoring junior staff is essential.
• Past leadership or lead worker experience demonstrating success in supervising and directing a team's functional activities.
• Familiarity with Histology workflow and processes.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Successfully complete training and certification as outlined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
• Advanced understanding of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology.
• Capacity to convey technical knowledge to junior staff.
• Prior exposure to College of American Pathologists (CAP) inspections and knowledge of the related processes.
• HT, HTL Certification.
• Certifications such as A+, Security +, CCNA, or similar are required.
• Must be able to reside in Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, or nearby areas within 100 miles of any of the listed states.
• Willingness to travel daily, with up to 60% requiring overnight stays, including some holidays and weekends.
• Discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
