This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver remote and on-site technical assistance for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems within the designated region.
• Address, assess, prioritize, and resolve work orders in accordance with service-level expectations.
• Identify and rectify proprietary hardware and software components while maintaining full ownership of cases.
• Troubleshoot intricate issues and escalate to Senior or Lead Field Service Engineers as necessary.
• Provide support to government accounts that necessitate eligibility for a CAC.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Conduct installations, in-servicing, repairs, calibrations, and general technical support.
• Keep an accurate inventory of spare parts.
• Maintain the company-issued vehicle, tools, and equipment effectively.
• Foster positive customer relationships through professional communication and prompt assistance.
• Record service activities, expenses, and time logs utilizing approved tools.
• Collaborate with Sales and Implementation teams to enhance deployments and customer experience.
• Adhere to complaint-handling and Medical Device Reporting procedures.
• Ensure that service documentation complies with regulatory and corporate standards.
• Maintain safety policies, quality expectations, and operational standards.
• Engage in continuous training and remain updated on technologies, best practices, and system enhancements.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively to achieve service objectives.
• Assist leadership with escalations, advanced troubleshooting, and case resolutions.
• 1–3 years of combined experience in hardware, software, and IT support.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving.
• Exceptional communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
• Capability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel as needed.
• An Associate degree in a related field or over 3 years of Field Service or Technical Support experience.
• Experience in medical or electromechanical device repair is mandatory.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble and reassemble complex systems.
• Proficient with Windows OS, networking, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to operate both powered and manual hand tools.
• Capability to lift 85 lbs frequently and 115 lbs occasionally, including overhead lifts.
• Ability to climb, kneel, crawl, reach, grasp, stand, and walk for extended durations.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Daily car travel is required, along with occasional air travel and overnight stays.
• Must meet eligibility criteria for access to Local, State, and/or Federal facilities, including background checks and necessary identification credentials or security badges.
• Shift availability from 3 PM to midnight or 4 PM to 1 AM, with on-call responsibilities.
• Experience with 24×7 on-call service is preferred.
• CompTIA A+ Certification or an equivalent certification is preferred.
