Lead Feed ERP, Accounting Implementation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee customer installation, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support for Datacor Animal Nutrition products both onsite and remotely.

• Collaborate with Delivery Managers to implement project plans, achieve milestones, and manage the scope of multiple concurrent implementations.

• Assess customer business processes and provide recommendations on system configuration, workflow design, and process enhancement.

• Assist with cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases, including opening-balance loads, inventory counts, and first-close support.

• Create and configure chart of accounts mapping, general ledger posting accounts, account segmentation, and integrations between mill operations and financial systems.

• Set up and verify inventory costing methods, cost roll-ups, variance accounts, and work-in-process treatment.

• Establish and test accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger integration points, focusing on batch posting, distribution accuracy, and error management.

• Ensure accurate financial results from manufacturing, shipping, receiving, and billing transactions.

• Lead the reconciliation of sub-ledgers to the general ledger during parallel testing.

• Provide guidance on pricing, contract terms, freight, discounts, tax configuration, and their downstream accounting implications.

• Conduct training for end-users and administrators on operational and financial workflows.

• Create and maintain training documentation, user manuals, configuration workbooks, and knowledge-base materials.

• Diagnose configuration, process, and data-related issues while maintaining clear communication with customers.

• Share implementation insights with delivery and support teams to enhance methodologies.

• Manage multiple projects while ensuring timely completion of time entries, status updates, TaskRay records, and recap documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical accounting experience, including roles such as staff/senior accountant, cost accountant, assistant controller, or controller.

• Proven expertise in inventory accounting and valuation, cost accounting in a manufacturing context, general ledger management, or AR/AP operations.

• At least 3 years of experience with ERP systems as an end user, implementation consultant, or both.

• Experience with at least one full-cycle implementation or significant system conversion.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Strong comprehension of how operational transactions, production, inventory movement, shipping, receiving, and billing correlate with financial entries.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation capabilities.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to effectively manage time and work independently in a remote setting.

• Willingness and capability to travel to customer sites as needed.

• Preferred: familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP and its Financials, Inventory, Purchasing, and Sales Order Processing modules.

• Preferred: experience in agriculture, feed milling, food manufacturing, or another process/batch manufacturing environment.

• Preferred: knowledge of Datacor Animal Nutrition products, including Feed Mill Manager, Pennent Mill Manager, Brill, ARA, and Feed Tags.

• Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and basic SQL for data validation and reconciliation.

• Preferred: experience with data migration, opening balance conversion, or parallel testing.

• Preferred: CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.

• Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel.

• Preferred: experience with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
